A beautiful and intuitive lead generation website for cybersecurity experts ZoneFox.
Cybersecurity experts ZoneFox offer the most advanced Insider Threat solutions on the market. Originally a spin out from Edinburgh Napier University, ZoneFox have experienced massive growth in recent years with their technology providing total data visibility and securing sensitive information and high-value intellectual property against loss, theft, and mishandling for clients such as Pret A Manger, Rockstar Games, Zenith Bank and Bede Gaming.
ZoneFox approached Screenmedia in early 2017 to refresh their website, which had an inflexible design and lacked the custom functionality required to move forward in their digital aspirations. In line with ZoneFox’s ambitious plans to expand into new international markets and grow their product offering the website not only had to support the company’s expansion as their primary digital presence across multiple global markets, but serve as a key lead generation channel for direct sales and reseller partnerships at home and abroad.
Given ZoneFox’s ambitious goals and expansion plans, we first undertook a branding communications strategy project to explore and understand who ZoneFox were, what their unique tone of voice was, and how they needed to speak to their target markets in order to achieve the most effective communications.
This initial phase involved a mix of workshops, peer and competitor research, user research, and copywriting to arrive at a set of brand guidelines, a positioning matrix, and key messaging that ZoneFox could use and adapt in all of their branded collateral. This initial phase served as the groundwork for the website project and ensured that both the client team and Screenmedia had a full understanding of the communications goals and objectives the website had to achieve.
As a critical sales and lead generation tool, it was vital that ZoneFox’s new website funneled users quickly and effectively into the desired sales channels. However, it’s equally important to get across ZoneFox’s unique brand, style, and startup spirit within the user interface design. Our multidisciplinary team worked together to produce a design that is easy to navigate and simple to use, but delivers a contemporary look and feel unparalleled within ZoneFox’s peer group.
In addition to the new user experience and interface design, we developed a short looping animation, a set of icons, and custom illustrative graphics in a variety of brand colours for ZoneFox to use throughout their marketing campaigns to ensure consistent brand styling in all online and offline channels.
Alongside Umbraco’s out-the-box features we developed a series of bespoke integrations and enhancements to maximise the impact of ZoneFox’s new site.
We provided multiple Hubspot-integrated features to leverage for key calls to action and user touch points, meaning ZoneFox can manage all campaign-based activity from one interface, and track their renewed success with the launch of their new website.
Front end users of the website are able to submit a support ticket and talk to a member of staff through live chat functionality. These features integrate directly into FreshDesk (ZoneFox’s core support software) and can be configured to be visible at specific dates and times via the CMS.
Using our custom multi-site setup, ZoneFox will be able to build multiple country or region-specific sites and thanks to Vorto integration will be able to enable multilingual capabilities within the site, all managed within the core CMS.
ZoneFox’s partner portal is configured using Azure Active Directory. Azure AD is a cloud-based application that provides additional security and self-service functionality to partners (including two factor account authentication and conditional access) while also being a cost-effective and easily scalable solution as the website grows. Powered by Microsoft, Azure AD is also an extremely well supported application with extensive security credentials - a perfect solution for ZoneFox’s bespoke requirements.
From the outset of the project, working with the team at Screenmedia was easy and we had no doubt that their expertise would deliver what we needed to support our digital strategy. They delivered a beautiful, powerful Umbraco website that will support the growth of our business, enable us to accelerate digital lead generation activities and further support our channel partners with a highly secure, gated partner portal.
