Scotland Food & Drink
Designing and integrating a modern, responsive, modular and template-led website to better serve key audience groups
To ensure Scotland Food & Drink’s users remained familiar with the site, we worked to recreate and optimise the existing site’s functionality into their new site:
A bespoke seasonality calendar that fully synced up with produce suppliers, allowing users to find out about seasonal produce availability
An optimised page tagging system for the events, resources, and blogs, providing users search results through tailored persona style landing pages
Bespoke forms with dotdigital’s marketing automation platform (formerly dotmailer), making the site more secure and future-proof
We worked with Scotland Food & Drink to ensure the site’s designs were designed to be fully responsive across all devices.
Their new site showcases the best of the industry in the boldest and most impactful way possible by using Scotland Food & Drink’s rich and vast library of photography.
We used our expertise in Umbraco development and integrations to deliver a solution that was fast, scalable, and worked across both web and mobile.
Using the newest version of Umbraco 7.12 allowed Scotland Food & Drink to be fully compliant to modern marketing protocols and GDPR regulations, as well as ensuring any future upgrades could be completed seamlessly.
Hosting our solution on Azure Apps Service equally allowed significant cost and time savings for the client. By using Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS), Scotland Food & Drink’s website was made to be optimised based on its usage, making it a more robust and efficient solution.
Scotland Food & Drink are a key part of the Scottish produce industry and this new update to their digital estate allows them to showcase the best of Scotland’s produce industry on a global platform.
In addition to this, new functionality future-proofs their site, helps grow the value of Scotland's food and drink sector, and sets out their stall to stand out in a competitive marketplace.
