We’re delighted to announce Screenmedia has been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s BIMA Awards.
The BIMA Awards are the longest running and most prestigious digital awards in the UK, and having only recently become a member, we’re excited to have been nominated in categories alongside global brands such as Domino’s and Google.
In the Emerging Technology: Innovation category, the Human Test voice experience we built for Channel 4 is nominated against a raft of global creative agencies and Google’s Creative Lab. Built to promote season 3 of Channel 4’s critically acclaimed sci-fi drama Humans, the experience turns the conversation back on users by having Alexa and Google Assistant quiz the show’s fans in a Turing-style test to find out if they are human or ‘synth’. With 50,000 users in its first week the experience was a huge success and drew praise from Amazon.
In 2017 we became the first company in the UK to develop a smart home action for Google Home. Our longtime client Honeywell sought to be one of the first smart home manufacturers in the world to integrate with the upcoming Google Home and approached Screenmedia to develop a voice interface. Launched in January 2017, our client became one of only 6 smart home suppliers in the world on the Google Assistant platform.
As one of the earliest voice developers in the UK, we’re delighted to be recognised for our groundbreaking work in this field with Amazon’s Alexa and Google’s Assistant. We’re also looking forward to revealing more innovative and impactful voice and conversational projects in the coming months across a broad variety of industries.
If you’re thinking about how you can leverage voice, get in touch, there’s nothing we like better than talking about our next voice project.
