Designed and created by Screenmedia, GCPH's new Resilience animation will be included in the OU’s Developing Career Resilience course.
The Glasgow Centre for Population Health (GCPH) is dedicated to tackling inequality and improving health through the generation of deep insights and wide-ranging studies. In 2013 they commissioned Screenmedia to create an animated video demonstrating the importance of resilience - the little-discussed ability for individuals to cope with pressures and challenges in their lives.
The Open University is now set to include the animation in its Developing Career Resilience course, which helps learners understand equality issues and aids in personal and professional development.
At time of launch the animation was well received, becoming one of the most watched videos on GCPH’s Youtube channel and being praised for how it visualises a very abstract concept. Off the back of its success, GCPH has commissioned a further animation exploring the theme of resilience in Glasgow for launch in 2017.
