We’ve grown our team again (and are still growing!)

Smart home action for Honeywell is a UK first

Andrew | 10/02/2017

Christie and Callum recently joined us in our studios. We sat down with them to find out what they do, and why they chose Screenmedia.

Callum McLennan - Project Director

In 140 characters, what exactly do you do?

I work with clients to articulate their needs and then collaborate with the team to design and build innovative solutions.

Previous experience...

I've been working in the creative industries in various guises for 16 years with the last 5 focused on building great digital products.

Why Screenmedia?

Once I decided to move to Scotland I researched many companies, but Screenmedia stood out because of its human centred approach to building products for an exciting bunch of clients.

Oddest job…

I spent a brief time loading seedling trays into a machine.

On the nightstand…

Nightstand! I've just moved house, it's currently a dining chair with a precariously perched glass of water.

In my spare time I like…

Heading to the hills, exploring Glasgow, and wondering what the hell's going on.

Favourite tune on the office Sonos…

Hmm… I believe I tapped my foot to a Joy Division track once.

Weirdest fact about me…

Despite being called Callum Donald McLennan I sadly have no trace of a Scottish accent.

Christie Irvine - Producer

In 140 characters, what exactly do you do?

I manage projects from start to finish by working with all of our teams and ensure that they are completed on time, within budget, and are to the highest possible standard.

Previous experience...

When I was 18 I joined a digital agency as a QA Tester for 3 years while achieving my Computer Games Technology degree. After I completed my course, I moved down to Guildford and spent 19 months as a producer at EA on the FIFA series covering FIFA ‘16 and ‘17.

Why Screenmedia?

I felt it was time to move back home to Scotland and Screenmedia was the first place I looked at. It’s a place where I feel that I can continue my development, expand my skillset and work within a very driven team to achieve success.

Oddest job…

Out of the two I’d choose EA. It was my first full time job, first time living away from home, and nobody could understand me because of my accent. I moved down on two weeks’ notice and accepted the job while I was on holiday in Florida so spent the second week of my holiday house hunting online.

On the nightstand…

Phone charger and my PS4 controller. Always have to be prepared.

In my spare time I like…

Watching football, MMA, and gaming on the PS4. As you can tell, I like to keep fit and active.

Favourite tune on the office Sonos…

I’m not into music that much but I’d probably go for either Daft Punk or Maroon 5. Not sure why!

Weirdest fact about me…

I keep a collection of Pop Vinyl figures – have to be in the original packaging. Currently I have 127 of them stored in my room.
