Screenmedia has joined a select group of digital services suppliers in being appointed to the Scottish Government’s Application Design and Development Services (ADDS) framework.
The move comes as we also join the UK Government’s G-Cloud 8 framework, offering Xamarin cross-platform mobile app development services.
Through the new Scottish Government ADDS framework, public and third sector organisations can engage Screenmedia to provide a full suite of digital services for digital transformation. Digital transformation is a key requirement for many public and third sector bodies, both as a result of government regulation and consumer demand. Modern consumers expect to be able to engage with information and public services through a range of channels, including desktop, laptop, tablet, and smartphone. They expect to be able to access these services in a time, place, and manner which suits them. The public sector has a huge opportunity to transform how services are consumed using digital technologies, as online delivery makes services easier, quicker, and more convenient for people to use, while also being cheaper than many alternate methods.
Screenmedia are committed to supporting local government and public bodies to achieve their digital transformation objectives and cement Scotland’s place as a leading digital nation. Our work has seen clients widen access to their services, as well as increase public participation. From designing the UX of the original BBC iPlayer, to the lasting public sector partnerships we have built including Skills Development Scotland and NHS Education for Scotland, we aim to help our clients achieve channel shift and become ‘digital first’.
The range of services offered through the framework encompasses all stages of digital project development; from strategy and planning to understand service users’ needs, through best practice user experience and user interface design, to leading edge responsive web and cross-platform mobile app development.
Through the G-Cloud 8 framework, public sector bodies across the UK can gain access to our independent team of Xamarin University certified developers, the largest team of its kind in the UK. One of the earliest adopters of Xamarin technology in Europe, we are able to produce cross-platform mobile apps at great cost efficiency without compromising on a high quality user experience. To date we have delivered award-winning work to clients in the public, private, and third sector, including Arnold Clark, Honeywell, the Scottish Ambulance Service, and most recently the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Our G-Cloud offering is to be further enhanced with the addition of a broader range of design and development services in the upcoming release of G-Cloud 9.
