With our studio growing at a record pace, we've been catching up with some of our latest recruits for a series of blogs to find out what they do and why they chose Screenmedia. First up, we meet Lynne and Julio Ernesto.
I develop mobile applications, and get involved in the development of Windows apps, Alexa skills, and chatbots.
I've created and monetised several web and mobile applications on my own in the past, but this is my first professional job.
Screenmedia is a recognised, award winning company that has plenty of important clients, as well as a well-deserved good reputation. It's a cool environment to work in, learn, and have fun surrounded by very nice and talented people.
One summer I had to read, correct, and filter more than 3000 jokes for a website (I was paid by my cousin with several free meals at good restaurants).
Unread books that I would like to read eventually, my mobile phone, a lamp, and a lip balm.
I spend a lot of time getting lost on the internet, but I also like programming, cooking, traveling with my friends, watching movies and TV shows, and reading/watching stuff that I find stupid to get angry at. Lately, I have also started climbing.
The Spanish lessons that Iain used to play were mind-blowing.
It is very hard to notice, but I am not actually Scottish. Oh, and once I saw a blimp.
Front of house, purchasing, recruitment, finance, record keeping, nagger of people to tidy their desks, travel agent, flower arranger, paperclip researcher, organiser of drinks tokens.
More of the above, plus shoe salesperson and prop booker/buyer for the film and TV industry.
I knew it would be the kind of environment I'd never get bored in.
Sourcing tomato plants in February for a B&Q commercial.
Lamp, phone, radio, receipts, and a book I'm probably never going to finish.
Being outdoors, getting muddy at boot camp, cycling, country walks, sitting by the fire. All of the above may soon be replaced by house decorating and DIY.
Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams and most 80's / 90's pop and rock and 00's indie.
I prefer cycling uphill to downhill.
Update: check out part two of our series, where we meet developers Vlad and Andrew.
