I'm part of back-end web team involved in developing and supporting .NET, C#, and Umbraco web solutions.
I joined Screenmedia straight from university but gained experience through coursework and side projects in my spare time. My favourite piece of coursework was my Master's project where I created an Android app to capture actionable intelligence from emergency events reported on Twitter.
I was attracted by the diversity of clients and projects and by how innovative and forward thinking the company is. At my first interview the culture and friendliness of the company really stood out and my heart was set on securing a position.
Working as a event steward was odd at times. I had a drunk guy approach me in hysterics because "the buttons on his shirt had been stolen". It turns out he had it on inside out.
