Design consultancy to deliver results

Having initially engaged us based on a recommendation, our ongoing partnership with Tribal is reshaping the future of education software.

With Tribal's deep appreciation for excellent user experience design, our teams have maintained a strong alignment throughout our numerous projects to date. Through ongoing consultancy and knowledge transfer to their internal team, we have supported Tribal in shaping their long-term product and design strategy for years to come.

Enhancing life as a student

As a core student-facing product for Tribal, it was essential that their new Engage app provided a collaborative and immersive user experience.

Collaborating closely with their internal team, we embarked on a comprehensive process that involved defining use cases, validating personas, and creating interactive prototypes. This enabled us to craft an easily navigable and scalable information architecture, coupled with a visually appealing UI design. The outcome is an Engage app that delivers a collaborative and engaging user experience, catering to the diverse needs of students throughout their educational journey.

Reimagining the admissions process

Recognising the challenges faced by higher education institutions in processing applications, we redesigned Tribal's Admissions solution. Our approach involved the implementation of a dynamic ranking system and an intuitive interface design to address these challenges. By introducing a grading system, we empowered administrators to efficiently prioritise their workload by identifying and focusing on high-priority applications.

The result was an enhanced processing efficiency that streamlined the admissions process for Tribal and improved overall productivity for administrators.

Joining up the product ecosystem

Tribal's diverse product suite encompasses a wide range of standalone solutions, with some institutions relying on as many as 50-60 applications to meet their educational needs. This multitude of applications posed significant challenges in terms of navigation and usability.

To tackle this complexity, we worked closely with Tribal's internal design team to devise a solution. Together, we developed the high-level architecture and conceptualised a product portal that would serve as a centralised hub. This portal allows users to seamlessly search, sort, and navigate between the extensive array of solutions, ensuring a streamlined and user-friendly experience.

Results

From our initial engagement with Tribal to our most recent projects, our collaboration has empowered Tribal to develop and deliver industry-leading products.

After showcasing our work at the annual Empower conference, we are collaborating with Tribal to further enhance the UX design of their products. We are also exploring new product offerings leveraging voice technologies. Most importantly, we continue to support Tribal in understanding their audiences' needs and equipping them with the tools to design high-quality products in the future.
