Freelance UX Designer

We're looking for experienced Freelance User Experience Designers to help gather business and user requirements and create effective solutions across web and mobile solutions on a variety of projects.

You will have proven experience in requirements gathering, audience analysis, stakeholder workshops, card sorting, information architecture, and navigation design through to the development of detailed wireframes to inform solution content and interaction design.

A great communicator both written and verbally, you will be an exceptional design thinker and design problem solver with ability to deliver considered and high quality user-centred solutions.

This is an on-site freelance role and you will be expected to work from our Glasgow city centre studio. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver business and user requirements analysis and specifications
  • Conduct peer and competitor research into best practice
  • User research and customer insights to inform UX decisions
  • Information Architecture and Navigation Design
  • Visualise ideas through wireframes and prototypes
  • Work closely with design and development teams to prioritise, test and implement solutions.

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Have 3+ years’ experience in a UX role, preferably within an agency environment
  • Be a subject matter expert on latest UX thinking
  • Understand design and front-end capabilities to inform solution feasibility and scope
  • Have experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Good client-facing skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Attributes

Knowledge of design software including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
