The Big Plus is Scotland's national adult literacy and numeracy campaign introduced to encourage people to improve their reading writing and number skills.

Following the success of Football Academy, Screenmedia was commissioned by Learning Connections to produce Work Skills Academy; a complementary addition to the learning series teaching the core literacy and numeracy skills required in a work environment.

There are eight enjoyable games which help develop core skills in the use of grammar, punctuation, listening and maths. To support the learning content, the games encompass character animation and voiceover to improve accessibility and to guide, encourage and reward users throughout the learning experience.

Through our engaging design and ease of navigation learners are able to easily choose topics and skill level, as well as seek help and print answers. The games are proving to be an effective way of reaching the market and engaging learners.
