A modern and responsive website designed to engage multiple target audiences for the prestigious day independent school, The High School of Glasgow.


Responsive Website

The High School of Glasgow commissioned Screenmedia to develop a contemporary, engaging and user-centred website and content management platform, based on Umbraco CMS, which allowed the school to communicate with their key audience more effectively.

Across a series of early planning workshops, Screenmedia worked with project staff at HSoG to understand the culture and heritage of the school and establish key goals based on their core objectives. The website had to attract increased numbers of new and prospective parents, communicate with existing parents effectively, build relationships with alumni, and communicate and promote the High School of Glasgow brand.

Our planning and design team developed a bespoke responsive design to adapt seamlessly across desktop, tablet and smartphone devices. Housed on a powerful and flexible implementation of the Umbraco CMS, a raft of new benefits are enjoyed by the internal team at HSoG, including quick content management and the ability to setup multiple user accounts with varying levels of editing/publishing permissions.

Launched in August 2014, the end result is a beautifully modern website in keeping with the deep-rooted traditions of the school. It stands out from its peer group and exceeds all objectives in terms of design look and feel, functionality, user engagement and internal management.
