Overview
M Squared Lasers is a world leading developer and manufacturer
of next-generation diode-pumped lasers and photonic instruments.
From their HQ in Glasgow they supply some of the biggest companies
in the international defense, security, science and bio-photonic
industries.
As the company develops international sales, improved digital
communications has become a priority for engaging clients across
web, extranet, social and mobile. As a full-service agency,
Screenmedia was chosen as their preferred digital partner and our
first project has been to redesign and develop the company
website.
The site has been designed and built on Umbraco CMS, a leading
Open Source .Net platform with which we could build web, email with
enhanced extranet, social media and mobile functionality. Our
design objective was pretty straightforward; aiming to create a
design, look and feel that would elevate the company above its peer
group.
The solution includes fresh photography - where standard stock
imagery was simply non-existent in relation to the hi-tech nature
of the company, products and services. Where stock has been used,
to illustrate the market sectors, we used a stylized two colour
treatment, picking out elements of the brand colour.
