Best Digital Supplier 3 Years In A Row Posted by: Kenny S on 15/10/2012
Despite our obvious jubilation in the picture, 'gobsmacked' would be a better description of how we all felt after winning two awards on Thursday night including maintaining our status as Best Digital Supplier for a third year running.
The Awards, judged by a panel of experts in innovation, design, marketing and technology, are a national showcase for the best in digital business. In order to be successful, all participating companies needed to be able to demonstrate digital innovation and quality of work with clear business results. Now in its fourth year, the award categories and competition was stronger than ever. So, despite being up for three awards, absolutely no-one was counting any chickens - although Rosie's mum felt it 'in her bones' a good omen!
The night kicked off in the Grand Room of Glasgow's Grand Central Hotel with the customary speakers and banquet before the awards ceremony commenced at 10pm. Thankfully we were up quickly and, in the second category of the evening, our work for Simple Audio won the award for Best Consumer Engagement. This immediately settled our nerves which meant we could relax and really begin to enjoy the evening, acknowledging the success of our competitors and friends as the ceremony proceeded through each category's nominees and winners.
At around 11pm, the hopes, expectations and tensions surfaced again for the announcement of the final category - Best Digital Supplier. The nominees: Alientation, Dog Digital and Screenmedia. Anyway, you know the story so here are just a few photos of the team, joyous but definitely sobered by the result.
We would of course like to say a big thank you to all our clients for supporting us, and to the Herald team and its judges for choosing Screenmedia as Digital Supplier of the Year 2012. We'll keep studying and working hard next year to keep improving the quality of our practice, our client-service and solutions. And, thanks again to everyone for their good wishes and support, it's much appreciated.
