We've picked up the top prize 'Digital Supplier of the Year' at
the Herald Digital Business Awards 2011 for the second year
running. This was a tough award to win, presented to the business
that has done the most to advance digital innovation in Scotland
during the past 12 months. It's an outstanding achievement, so
we're all over the moon.
The Awards,
judged by a panel of experts in innovation, design, marketing and
technology, are a national showcase for the best in digital
business. In order to be successful, all participating companies
needed to be able to demonstrate clear business results - the top
prize for Best Digital Supplier Award was the most challenging of
all.

We were delighted to be picking up the top prize for the
second year running.
In the words of Kenny Shaw:
"Businesses needed to demonstrate excellence on every level,
including the diversity of its work, how well it fulfilled client
briefs, creative execution, technological innovation and commercial
success.
I'm proud to say that Screenmedia has consistently delivered for
its clients, stayed ahead of market trends, continued to innovate
within the digital space and as a result, the business has grown
substantially in the last 12 months."
It's true, it has been an amazing year for Screenmedia. We've
extended our lead in the development of mobile web and app
solutions. In February this year we
sold our Sprint GPS app business to US fitness company
Peaksware. We won several new awards too, including
two in just two weeks. We've also rebranded the business and
diversified our client base with new national and international
clients including Honeywell, JP Morgan, Tate Modern, Glasgow School of
Art, BMT Group, Peaksware and iBAHN.
So, with all this hard work under our belt, it was lovely to sit
back, relax and soak up the celebratory atmosphere. The awards
ceremony itself took place at Oran Mor in Glasgow's west end and
was hosted by Catriona Shearer from BBC Scotland. We had a great
(albeit rather late) night, together with an audience of
professionals from some of Scotland's most dynamic companies.

It was nice to see everyone looking so darn good and so
relaxed!
So, what now?
Well, an award is only recognition for past achievements and
we're always looking ahead. During the next 12 months, we're
continuing to invest for growth, ensuring that we remain at the
forefront of digital innovation. We've not only restructured the
business to facilitate this but we're also moving
to new offices before the year is out.
Well done to team Screenmedia for all the hard work. A big thank
you to all our clients for supporting us, and of course thank you
to the Herald team and its judges for picking us as Digital
Supplier of the Year, again.

Cheers everyone!
