Our Development Director, Jon Carlos (a.k.a. our Umbraco
superman) is heading off to CodeGarden, the annual Umbraco
developer conference, on Wednesday 15th June. This
year it's in Copenhagen (alright for some) and runs for 3
days. But, joking aside, CodeGarden is the place where all
serious Umbraco developers get together for a heads up on:
- What's possible today with Umbraco
- The future of Umbraco
- Hands on labs
This event is mighty important to us. We've been Umbraco
certified for a number of years now and think it's the best
open source (.net) solution available today; it's even got
Microsoft's full support.
What are we expecting from Jon when he comes
back?
There are over 30 talks to choose from but we're particularly
excited to find out about the new Umbraco 5 release 'Jupiter' which
promises some real 'hidden gems' including advances in and
around:
- Ecommerce
- Version updates
- User interface design
- Mobile upgrades
- Multi lingual capabilities
- Polls, voting forms, quizzes, registrations
- Multi users and large editorial team improvements
... and oh so much more
Umbraco are telling us that they have lots of new features up
their sleeves and we can't wait to get all the details. We'll be
letting you know as soon as Jon gets back.
